In 2007, the first year of running the Daffodil Walks we held 3 sessions and raised £330, we roped in friends & family to bake cakes, serve refreshments’, car park etc. From this 1st event we developed a small group of like mind individuals who wanted to help raise more funds for Macmillan Cancer support hence the Vale Royal Fundraising Committee was formed. The event has grown each year and to date has raised an amazing £57,262!!
Last year 55 people kindly volunteered their time & skills plus we had some fabulous local business’s who supported us in many areas.
We do always need more help, whether it be a couple of hours to assist on serving refreshments, clearing & washing up, tombola stall and donations, car parking etc or even if you are able to donate a cake, a prize for the Tombola or a larger prize to be used for our Prize draw these are most appreciated!

“Volunteering is rewarding, you get a great sense of worth and meet some fabulous people and in the knowledge that you are doing something special to help those who are requiring the support of Macmillan at a difficult time”
